What city never “wore off” for you long term?

I tend to get bored pretty easily in places and I’m trying to find a city to use as a longer term base.

Curious which cities you’ve lived in that just didn’t wear off over time. And why?

For context, I love beach cities, great weather, and easy access to good food. But I’m open minded.

Would love to hear places that actually held up after the honeymoon phase.
