I have a flight from Singapore to London next month on a PE Flexi ticket booked with Singapore Airlines. I’ve been trying to join the Business Class upgrade waitlist using my miles, but the agents I spoke with said the waitlist is currently full.
I’m still fairly new to the whole upgrade process, so I wanted to ask if it’s worth continuing to call Singapore Airlines regularly in case a waitlist spot opens up. I’m travelling solo, but since the booking was made through a travel agent, I can only request upgrades over the phone and not through the app.
For context, I currently have around 170k miles, and about 40k of them are expiring next month, so I’d really like to use them if possible.
I understand the SIN to LHR route is very popular, so I’m curious how realistic my chances are for either getting onto the waitlist or receiving an upgrade closer to departure.
