We booked a Fairmont Mayakoba package through WestJet Vacations and only realized after getting the invoice that it’s apparently not all inclusive.
What’s confusing is the wording on WestJet’s site. From what I can tell, it strongly suggests that all room types include all-inclusive. When booking, there was no mention of “European plan” vs all-inclusive. The only option available was the European room, and based on the description and screenshots, it really looked like that still included all-inclusive.
Now WestJet is saying European room = not all inclusive.
Looking back, maybe the site was just sloppy or poorly worded, but it definitely feels misleading. I’m trying to figure out if I’m being unreasonable before I call to cancel.
TLDR: booked the only room option shown (European), website made it seem all-inclusive, invoice says it’s not. Screenshot suggests otherwise. Anyone else dealt with this or know how WestJet usually handles these situations?
