Someone listening to ATC during approach heard random noises, moaning, and even people saying “meow” over the frequency. Then ATC had to step in with a “keep it professional”.
From what I’ve heard, it’s usually not ATC or the main pilots, but other pilots on frequency messing around when things are quiet. The “meow” stuff especially has been around for years.
It sounds fake until you hear it yourself.
Still wild that something that critical can have random trolling mixed in.
