Worked in hotel sales and this is something I see over and over… people asking for 50 to 100 rooms for weddings and barely filling 10.
Most guests just share rooms or don’t stay overnight at all, even if they’re from out of town.
Feels like people massively overestimate how many will actually book.
Honestly makes more sense to start small and add rooms later if needed
