Waterfall near Waikiki where you can actually get in?

First time in Hawaii and I really want to see a waterfall and take some photos under it.

Manoa Falls looks perfect location wise, but I’ve read a lot about leptospirosis. Then I see people on TikTok swimming there, which makes it confusing.

I also looked at Waimea Falls, but I’m hoping for something where I can take pictures in a shallow area without it being packed with tourists.

Staying in Waikiki and don’t want to travel super far.

Any suggestions? And does anyone know what the current situation is with Manoa?
