Saw this and yeah… I’ve actually heard of this happening.
Basically these guys throw birdseed near you so pigeons swarm, then suddenly put seeds in your hand so birds land all over you. Then they start demanding money like it was some “experience” you agreed to.
Apparently they target tourists who look a bit overwhelmed or families with kids. And they don’t take small change either, people getting pressured into paying way more than they should.
Not dangerous, just really aggressive and annoying. Still, easy to get caught off guard if you don’t know what’s happening.
Good reminder to just walk away and not engage at all.
