I actually love this idea. Washi tape is one of those things that sounds silly until you realize how often duct tape would be useful, but you don’t want to carry duct tape.
Non damaging, tears by hand, super light, and weirdly versatile. Covering hostel lights, taping zippers in pickpocket zones, holding chargers in loose outlets… all stuff I’ve dealt with while traveling.
The security strip on doors or curtains is a smart one too. Same with taping heat warmers or bandages that won’t stay put.
Definitely adding a small roll to my bag. This feels like one of those quiet nomad tricks you only learn the hard way.
