Just a heads up about a potential scam involving an old IHG Rewards phone number: 1-888-211-9875. This number appears on the back of older IHG Rewards cards.
Calls to this number are reportedly being answered by people pretending to be IHG staff. They take credit card details for a supposed reservation and then send a confirmation email from “AIR TICKET,” but the booking is never actually made.
The issue has been reported to IHG, but the number still appears on some older cards. The current official number is slightly different, with the last digit changed.
If you have an older IHG Rewards card, it’s better not to use the phone number printed on it and instead check the official IHG website for the correct contact details.
