I recently used a free night certificate to stay at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago over the Eid holiday as a way to celebrate.
The hotel was very quiet and luxurious, and the staff provided an exceptional level of service. Before arrival, I mentioned I was celebrating Eid, and they arranged thoughtful touches including flower petals with an Eid message, a small lamb plush gift, and prayer rugs placed neatly and oriented correctly.
We also received a room upgrade that included a balcony and fireplace, which allowed us to enjoy both sunrise and sunset views over the city skyline. I used the spa facilities, including the pool and sauna, and found them high quality and very relaxing.
Overall, I felt the experience was among the best Waldorf Astoria stays I’ve had in the US, and I would highly recommend it if using points or free night awards, especially for a special occasion.
