I kind of love that idea.
The worst part of landing is the instant aisle rush. Everyone pops up, opens bins, and then just stands there awkwardly for 10 minutes.
If they actually call a few rows at a time and open the overhead bins for you, that would probably keep things way calmer. Fewer people blocking the aisle, less chaos.
Of course it only works if people actually listen and the crew enforces it. On some flights that might be wishful thinking.
Still… sounds way more civilized than the usual free for all.
