Viking feels more “upper premium” than true luxury

I’ve cruised a lot with lines like Seabourn and Silversea, so I was surprised to see Viking priced and positioned as full luxury in the WSJ. They do a nice job with WiFi, drinks, and excursions included, but the service ratios and dining just don’t feel in the same league as the top lines.

To me, Viking delivers solid value in the upper-premium space, but it’s not really comparable to Regent or Crystal at $1,500+ per night.
