I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas, and honestly, it felt different. The energy was still there, but you could tell something was off fewer people in the casinos, shorter lines at restaurants, even the Strip felt less crowded. Later I read a report saying the city’s airport is expecting nearly 100,000 fewer passengers a day for the rest of the year. A big drop in Canadian visitors and issues with one of the main airlines seem to be a huge part of it.
For me, the quiet side of Vegas was both nice and strange. It was easier to get show tickets and dinner reservations, but I couldn’t help wondering how this dip is going to affect the city long term. Have any of you been to Vegas recently? Did you notice the change too?
