I’ve never had to rely on the “flat tire rule” before, but I ended up needing it today because of an actual flat tire. Fortunately, there were multiple flights available on my route, so rebooking options were not too limited.
Update: We still narrowly missed the original flight, but a helpful gate agent managed to rebook us onto the next available departure. We also had enough time to briefly visit the lounge while waiting for the new flight.
