A friend of mine is currently stuck in India after her Etihad return flight was cancelled because of the Iran conflict. I’m trying to figure out the cheapest way to get her back to the US.
Right now, one way tickets are much more expensive than some round trip fares on European or US airlines. Because of that, I’m considering booking a round trip ticket and just not using the return segment.
She’s a US citizen and would only use the India to US portion of the ticket.
Would there be any issues with doing this as a throwaway ticket?
