Booking a work trip where policy only allows Economy Plus, but United’s showing First Class for about $10 more. Wondering if I can book Economy Plus first and then upgrade right after purchase for roughly that same difference or does United recalculate and charge way more once the ticket’s issued?
Also curious what the receipt looks like after does it show the original fare with an upgrade fee, or get reissued as a full First ticket?
