At some point it just started feeling like work.
Chasing PQPs, routing a certain way, holding a card, tracking promos. For what? A slightly better boarding group and maybe an upgrade that clears once in a while?
I hit a moment recently where I just said forget it. I’ll pay for the seat I want. I’ll fly whoever has the best schedule or price. No more mental gymnastics trying to justify loyalty.
Honestly it’s kind of freeing. Way more options open up when you’re not trying to protect Silver or Gold or whatever the next shiny tier is.
