Saw this story and… yeesh. Three hours at the gate, then 90 minutes stuck on the tarmac, then told they were 30th in line with another 90 minutes ahead. Brutal day for everyone on that plane. But one woman just snapped yelling about being “allowed to stand up,” swearing at the crew, screaming the c-word, even telling another passenger to kill themselves.
Crew handled it calmly, passengers were trying to keep things level, and meanwhile another guy quietly mentioned he was traveling for his mother’s funeral. Everyone had somewhere important to be, she wasn’t special.
Pilots eventually went back to the gate and she got escorted off while chanting “thank God.”
Honestly the delays sound miserable, but standing up and going nuclear on the crew is the fastest way to get booted. And the comments on that blog post… somehow even more unhinged than what happened on the plane.
