Saw that United and JetBlue are launching this new “Blue Sky” partnership, and honestly, this one might actually matter. MileagePlus and TrueBlue members will be able to earn and redeem across both airlines, and United’s even coming back to JFK thanks to JetBlue sharing some space. They’re also swapping slots at Newark, so the network shuffle is real.
Feels a bit like a chill version of the old NEA setup, but maybe with better planning this time. It could be a solid win for the Flyers, who float between the two. I’ll definitely be watching how it rolls out. sometimes these things sound great, but get messy in practice.
