I received a notification after boarding that my flight was delayed due to other customers still going through security. The flight was scheduled to depart at 11:15 and I got the message at 11:29. At that point, the aircraft was already fully boarded with maybe only a few open seats.
I have never seen this happen before. If I personally do not get through security in time, I understand I would miss the flight, so I am confused how this situation works operationally once boarding is already complete.
