A Delta SkyMiles member noticed that they unexpectedly appear to have been upgraded to Gold Medallion status.
They were previously Silver Medallion and earned MQD boosts from holding two Delta Amex cards, which contribute around $2,500 in MQDs. However, when they checked their account, it now shows Gold status even though it still indicates they are about $3,330 MQDs short of the Gold threshold.
They are confused about how the upgrade happened and are asking what might have triggered it, noting that they are not complaining but simply trying to understand the change.
