I recently traveled on an itinerary from Copenhagen to Helsinki, Helsinki to London, and then London to Los Angeles.
When I scanned my boarding pass at the airport in Copenhagen, a new boarding pass was printed showing a Business Class seat assignment for the first segment. I was surprised because I do not recall ever receiving an upgrade on a partner airline codeshare flight before.
Has anyone else experienced a similar upgrade on a partner-operated flight? As an added bonus, the short flight included a surprisingly substantial breakfast despite being only about 90 minutes long.
