I tried the Udaan Yatri Cafe at Hyderabad RGIA and honestly the execution feels like a miss.
The pricing is genuinely affordable compared to typical airport food, but the location does not seem practical. It is placed near the entrance before check-in and security, tucked into a corner where most passengers rushing into the airport are unlikely to notice or stop.
Realistically, very few travelers are going to buy coffee or snacks before baggage drop and security clearance. Most people prefer to get airside first and relax near their gate.
What is more disappointing is that there does not seem to be any outlet after security near the boarding gates, where passengers actually spend most of their waiting time. That feels like where affordable food options would be most useful.
Overall, it feels more like a visibility or PR-focused setup rather than something designed around actual passenger flow and needs at the airport.
