I noticed something weird, when I check fares with Uber One, they’re usually 10–15% higher than without it. Did a little digging and looks like this has been reported for a while. Seems like the algorithm is adjusting based on what it thinks you’ll pay, which kind of cancels out the discount.
Also found that even trips to the same airport terminal can have different prices depending on the airline you select. Makes me think it’s tied to saved cards, Uber Cash balance, and other factors too. Pretty frustrating and I’m planning to drop Uber One because of it.
