Was checking Uber prices from my place to the airport like I always do. This ride is usually around $54.
Last month I activated Uber One through my Amex Platinum. Today I check again and suddenly it’s showing $68 with a 14 minute wait. Same time, same route.
Out of curiosity I had my spouse check on her Uber app. She doesn’t have Uber One. For her, the exact same ride showed $53 with a 7 minute wait.
That’s… wild.
Has anyone else noticed this kind of pricing difference after getting Uber One? Feels pretty backwards that a “membership” is costing more, not less. Seriously considering canceling it.
