Spent about five years collecting and planning points to build an over the top honeymoon itinerary almost entirely with rewards.
In total around 2.38 million points were redeemed, covering roughly $90,000 worth of travel, with about $10k paid out of pocket.
The trip included some pretty incredible experiences like Singapore Airlines Suites, Qatar QSuites, and Condor Business Class, along with luxury hotel stays such as Ritz-Carlton Maldives, St. Regis Maldives, and Al Maha Desert Resort.
The route ended up being Seattle → Frankfurt → Singapore → Maldives → Dubai → Seattle, with additional stops in places like Doha and Singapore along the way.
Most of the points came from Marriott, with others from Amex Membership Rewards, Alaska, Capital One, and Chase. The whole trip was basically built around securing Singapore Suites availability, which ended up being one of the highlights.
All together it came out to about 3.3 cents per point in value.
