I flew Turkish Airlines on April 26 from Nice to Istanbul and then onward to Mauritius. The total travel time was around 15 hours, and the layover in Istanbul was short and surprisingly calm, with no stress or crowding.
The onboard experience stood out in a positive way. We were given a warm wet towel at the start of the flight, which is something I have not seen in a long time. We also received an amenity kit that included a toothbrush, which many airlines no longer provide in economy. The cabin crew were consistently friendly throughout the journey.
Most importantly, the food was genuinely enjoyable, which is rare for us on flights.
After recent disappointing experiences with other airlines, this felt like a return to a more premium standard of economy service. Overall, it was an unexpectedly good experience and I would consider flying Turkish Airlines again.
