Flying Turkish Airlines for the first time from Detroit to Mumbai with a connection in Istanbul. My checked bag will be under the limit, but my carry on might be a bit over the 8 kg allowance.
How strict is Turkish Airlines about weighing carry ons, especially out of Detroit? Are they usually flexible, or do they enforce it pretty closely? I’m totally fine checking the bag if needed, just trying to avoid surprises at the airport.
Backpack will be within both size and weight limits.
Would appreciate any recent experiences.
