I have TSA PreCheck and usually when I fly with American Airlines, the indicator appears on my boarding pass as expected. However, on my most recent flight, it did not show up at all.
I proceeded through the standard security line and asked about it at the gate. The agent mentioned that TSA PreCheck isn’t guaranteed just because a passenger is enrolled, which was a bit concerning.
I’m trying to understand whether this is a common occurrence. It didn’t cause issues on my early morning departure from a smaller airport, but I’m unsure what to expect for my return flight from a larger airport in the afternoon where procedures may be stricter.
