A traveler shared an unusual experience at TSA security before a short trip from Dallas-Fort Worth to Las Vegas.
Her carry-on was flagged during screening, and a TSA officer inspected her luggage. He pulled out a silver designer handbag and told her it could not be brought on the plane.
The officer claimed the decorative top of the bag looked like brass knuckles and said such an item was prohibited. The traveler explained it was a designer purse, but the officer insisted it could be used as a weapon.
He suggested she either discard it or remove the decorative piece, which she refused. With boarding time approaching, she briefly considered her options but ultimately arranged for a friend nearby to take the bag.
She was then forced to travel without it and later bought a replacement purse at the airport before her trip.
