Trying to hit Cathay Silver but missing by 1 point

I’m trying to reach Cathay Silver status and currently sitting at 172 status points, so I need 128 more before the end of April.

I was looking at a Brisbane → Taipei flight at the end of April, but the itinerary only gives 127 points, so I’d end up 1 point short. Feels like Cathay designed it that way on purpose.

Now I’m debating what to do. Is there an easy way to add that extra point somehow, or is it not worth chasing and I should just book the direct China Airlines flight instead since it’s cheaper and faster?

Also my account says my status points expire at the end of April, so I’m wondering if that makes the whole effort pointless anyway.
