Trying to figure out AA fare classes and Alaska mileage credit is driving me nuts

Booked a B fare on American which should be discounted economy but after the trip it somehow posted as L class and earned like regular economy. I even paid for main cabin, not basic.

Is this just how it goes when crediting AA flights to Alaska? Seems like every time I think I understand the earning rates, the fare code changes after the fact.
