Had a weird moment on a Southwest flight today. I was seated next to two people on my left, and directly across the aisle there were like nine empty seats.
So I asked if I could just move over to one of them. Seemed harmless enough.
Answer was a hard no.
I know Southwest is usually pretty relaxed with seating once boarding is done, so this one surprised me a bit. Not a huge deal, just felt odd staring at a bunch of empty seats the whole flight.
