Trends Defining Travel For LGBTQ+ Couples In 2025

I was hoping Travel and Liesure would have something more interesting to say about new LGBT travel trends.

Even just some obvious choices that are "emerging" but broadening from the most iconic LGBT nightlife capitals.

• Marfa, Texas — tiny desert town where art, outsiders, and queers blend in so well that no one even blinks.
• Piran, Slovenia — a postcard-perfect Adriatic town that feels quietly progressive and very easy for couples.
• Bisbee, Arizona — an old mining town that somehow became one of the most openly queer small towns in the U.S.
• El Chaltén, Argentina — a hiking town at the edge of Patagonia where everyone’s a traveler and no one cares who you love.
• Hoi An, Vietnam — gentle, kind, tourism-driven, and surprisingly comfortable for queer nomads living day-to-day life.
• San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico — a creative, NGO-filled mountain town with pockets that feel genuinely safe.
• Pokhara, Nepal — a lakeside trekking hub where international travelers and locals create a very “live and let live” vibe.
