My travel plans have fallen apart after Spirit Airlines reportedly went under, leaving me without my flight for tomorrow. I had already paid for a VRBO accommodation, but now I can’t make the trip and would need to rebook flights at a much higher last-minute cost, which I can’t afford.
Since I’m still within 24 hours of check-in, I’m unsure what my options are regarding the VRBO reservation. I’m wondering whether cancellation is possible at this stage, or if any partial refund or fee reduction could apply since I won’t be using the property or requiring cleaning services.
Alternatively, is it possible to arrange for someone else to take over the booking? I haven’t dealt with a situation like this before and would appreciate any advice on how to proceed.
