Funny story. Travel + Leisure asked 10 experts for their top island pick, and most of them said the same thing: the Caribbean. St. Barts got the most love French-Caribbean food, little bakeries, chic beach clubs. Tobago came up too for its nature and sea turtles, and Anguilla for quiet beaches and boutique resorts.
They also shouted out Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, Puerto Rico, and Saint Lucia. Makes me want to just hop on a plane and see which vibe fits best.
