Travel disruptions make premium insurance feel less optional these days

Honestly, I used to look at premium travel insurance as something overly cautious or only for luxury travelers, but after the past few years of chaos from wars to wild weather to random tech outages, it's starting to feel like the smarter baseline. I mean, when even Marriott villas are bundling weather insurance into bookings, you know we're not in Kansas anymore.

Anyone here actually used parametric insurance? Curious if the extra cost has really paid off for folks.
