Transit at Cairo Airport was way more stressful than expected

Had a connection through Cairo recently and honestly didn’t expect it to be that chaotic.

Transit staff were asking for money at different points, and things like boarding passes were only given out very last minute which made it pretty stressful. At one point it even felt like you had no real choice but to go along with it.

Even small stuff like buying food turned into a hassle with pricing issues.

Only bright spot was hearing that EgyptAir transfers seem a bit more organized with their own counters.

Would definitely think twice about doing a solo connection there again.
