Booked a return route home in a rush due to disruptions linked to the situation in the Middle East, choosing a more affordable option with Air China despite it being longer.
Only realized afterward that the connection requires transferring between two different airports in Chengdu — Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport — which are about 67 km apart. The connection time is around 5.5 hours, assuming no delays, which initially felt very tight and stressful, especially while traveling with two bags and only speaking English.
After looking into it further, discovered there is a direct train connecting the two airports, which makes the transfer much more manageable than expected. Still a bit anxious about timing, but feeling more reassured now with this option available.
