Thunderstorms Trigger Ground Stops at Los Angeles, John Wayne, and Long Beach Airports

Was anyone else flying into Southern California yesterday? I got caught in the mess when a ground stop hit LAX due to thunderstorms rolling through the Southwest. Flights from cities like Albuquerque, Denver, and Salt Lake were all delayed mine circled for ages before finally landing after the 4:45 p.m. lift. It wasn’t just LAX; John Wayne and Long Beach had stops too until 4 p.m.

It was all triggered by tropical moisture and heat sparking severe thunderstorms from Lancaster to Palm Springs. I know summer storms aren't rare, but this level of disruption had me wondering how often do you adjust travel plans around weather in SoCal? Would love to hear how others handle delays like this.
