Could cases like this end up changing cruise line policies or affecting other passengers as well?
Also, I’m wondering why Carnival would settle or pay out in a case like this, since I thought their liability limits were capped at a certain amount (or close to it).
It’s also been mentioned that part of the case may have gone in the passenger’s favor because Carnival did not want to release security footage showing her after she blacked out.
Do situations like this typically influence future cruise policies or is this more of a one-off legal outcome?
