So many people swear Amex hates it when you make multiple payments a month, and here’s someone from the credit review team basically saying nope, we don’t care. Pay weekly, pay daily, whatever. That alone kills a ton of Reddit lore.
What they actually care about makes way more sense. Pay on time, ideally in full. Don’t have payments bounce. Don’t do sketchy cash-like stuff all the time. Gambling deposits being a big red flag is also not surprising at all.
The key takeaway for me is that multiple payments are fine, they just create more chances to trip fraud systems if something looks off. That’s very different from “Amex will punish you for paying early or often.”
Good reminder that a lot of credit card myths get repeated forever with zero firsthand confirmation.
