Honestly, I went to the Michigan DNR Outdoor Adventure Center thinking I was just doing it for the kid and then I found myself climbing through giant tree roots, pretending to fish, and hopping into a little airplane like it was my own personal museum playground. It’s basically the outdoors but air-conditioned and way less mosquito. The eagle’s nest on the top floor? Surprisingly epic photo op.
It’s super affordable, especially compared to other family spots, and it’s one of those rare places where toddlers, teens, and even grown-ups can all actually enjoy themselves. If you’ve never been, it’s one of the best little hidden gems in Detroit. Anyone else surprised by how cool this place was?
