Planning a Royal Caribbean cruise and usually just leave the automatic gratuities in place. This time considering going to guest services and asking them to remove it so tips can be given directly in cash to the stateroom attendant, dining staff, and others.
The main concern is whether the crew can see that the automatic gratuity was removed. Wouldn’t want it to look like there’s no intention to tip, since the plan is still to tip the people who actually make the cruise experience great.
Just curious how this works and if anyone has done it this way before.
