My wife and I are flying BA tomorrow from Denver to Heathrow, then connecting to Manchester after a long layover. Same thing on the way back. My parents live much closer to Heathrow, and if we just walked away at LHR instead of flying to MAN, it would save us almost a full day of travel.
I’ve read a ton of mixed stuff online. Some people say BA doesn’t really care. Others say they’ll cancel the return if you no-show a leg. We’re not checking bags and we fully plan to fly the return starting from Manchester as booked.
Just trying to figure out if this is actually risky in real life or mostly airline scare talk
