I love these kinds of posts, especially when they come from someone who’s actually stayed at most of the properties multiple times. It’s way more useful than one off reviews because you can see where things are slipping or improving year over year.
The note about ratings shifting over time really resonates. A hotel that was a solid 9 a few years ago can easily slide to a 7 if service changes or upkeep drops, even if the rooms look the same.
Also appreciate the simple legend. Sometimes “luxury” reviews forget that context matters and that not every trip needs to be a 10 to be a good stay.
