The Perseid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight and Here’s When and Where to Watch

I flew in just for this. Watching the Perseid meteor shower from a remote spot in Washington was something I'd dreamed about for years. When those first meteors streaked across the sky after midnight, I was stunned even the glow of the moon couldn’t steal the magic.

There’s something surreal about lying under the stars, surrounded by silence, watching up to 100 meteors an hour. I’ve seen photos, read articles, but nothing compares to witnessing it in person. If you’re ever thinking about chasing a sky full of shooting stars do it. It’s unforgettable.

Have you seen the Perseids before? Planning to stay up for them tonight?
