I’ve stayed in plenty of LA-area hotels, but the Huntley has a vibe that nails the whole “coastal luxury without trying too hard” thing. You’re two blocks from the beach, and if you get one of the upper-floor suites, the views over the ocean and Malibu are unreal locals even say it’s the best in town. The Penthouse restaurant on the 18th floor is a scene, but not in an obnoxious way. I’d go back just for the cauliflower steak and that sunset.
Honestly, it’s not cheap, but you’re paying for location, peace, and a low-key luxury that doesn’t scream for attention. Anyone stayed recently? Curious how the renovation is holding up after a year.
