I’m not sure if appreciation posts are common here, but I wanted to share a really positive experience my elderly parents recently had with Virgin Voyages.
A while back, I asked this sub whether one of their transatlantic cruises would be a good option for my parents, who are both close to 80 and haven’t taken a proper vacation in years. They just got back from sailing on the Valiant Lady, and they genuinely cannot stop talking about how much they enjoyed it.
I was honestly a little worried beforehand because my mom has knee problems, but they said the crew took great care of them throughout the trip. They also ended up making a lot of friends onboard, which I didn’t expect but was really nice to hear.
I booked the cruise fairly last minute, so I couldn’t secure restaurant reservations ahead of time, but they still managed to try all the restaurants onboard. Their favorite ended up being Test Kitchen.
Another thing I appreciated was the included Wi-Fi, since it allowed me to stay in touch with them during the cruise without worrying about extra charges.
I haven’t personally sailed with Virgin Voyages yet, but after hearing their experience, I’m seriously considering convincing my wife to try it with me sometime.
