We are a family of three going on a 6 night Western Caribbean cruise this summer to celebrate my son’s 15th birthday. It will be his first cruise and we are all excited about it.
The issue is he has already said he wants to stay in the cabin most of the time gaming or scrolling on his phone instead of joining activities.
I told him that is not really the point of the trip and that we should be spending time together, going to shows, using the pools, and exploring the ports. He thinks I am being unfair. My husband is more relaxed about it and does not see it as a big deal.
I am wondering if I am overreacting or if it is normal to set firm limits on phone and device use for teens during a cruise.
